Description

The lavender row goes silver overnight when the first hard frost comes. Nobody cuts it in that condition — you walk out, you look at it, you rub a stem between your fingers to see if it still smells like anything. It does. Colder than it was in July, and sharper for it.

Black Tie — Lavender, icy air accord, coconut, soft woods, musk. Cool linen, folded and left alone.
Barn — Sage, mint, eucalyptus, fresh air. Cut, not distilled.
