Premier 765 | 6" Pre-tabbed Wick
Description
The Premier-765 wick is a flat braid cotton core wick made from textile-grade cotton. They are designed to promote clean burning and minimize mushrooming from carbon buildup. Premier 700 Series wicks can be used in tealight, votive, pillar, and container candles. Their versatility makes them suitable for both paraffin and soy waxes. Unlike most other wicks, the Premier 700 Series comes in many different sizes, allowing for better wick precision to achieve optimal burning candles.
Our Premier-765 wicks are primed in a high melt point wax, are pre-cut to 6" lengths, and are tabbed using a 20mm round wick tab with a 6mm neck. Made in the USA

This was my very first shot at candle making. I used the Freedom Coconut Wax from American Soy Organics, along with 10% lavender driftwood FO from Candle Science. I used a 9 ounce straight sided jar. I poured at 185 for one set, and 145 for the other. I let the candles cure for 2 whole weeks and was so excited to try them out. The hot throw is non-existent!!! I could cry! I heated the jars, had the temp in my home at a toasty 72 degrees and that was my result. I don’t know where I went wrong. I don’t know if it was the wick size or what. I even tried the 760 size, and no hot throw. I refuse to give up though! Maybe I’ll order a different brand next.
Hi Shakira, the issue your are experiencing with the hot throw is not related to the wick. That issue is common with most soy waxes I including the one you are using. The wicks job is to simple melt the wax foot fuel. Different wicks work better with different waxes for sure... but the hot throw is coming from the wax and fragrance... not the wick (assuming it's sized properly). Premier wicks are extremely common and popular l. :)
I’m testing these wicks and they are working just fine with my candle recipes. I will order more premier wicks.
This wick size pretty much covers all my general sized candles. It’s perfect for my 8 and 10oz candles…you can’t go wrong with these!
And my order was shipped out within two days of me ordering it. Can’t wait to test them with my 3 inch diameter, candles
