I can see why this scent is one of the best sellers. It's a really well layered floral/citrus/powdery scent. Fills a room very well without being overwhelming. I did 8% concentration with a parasoy wax, should have gone 9%.
Until Cranberry Fire, I’d never found a cranberry spice candle that wasn’t sweet and cloying with overwhelming cinnamon notes. This one is deep and rich with smoky woods and lush tonka and amber. It’s utterly luxurious and smells expensive as hell. Instead of saccharine sweet, Cranberry Fire is dry. Instead of cinnamon that smells like an atomic fireball candy, this is like burning Indonesian cinnamon bark. Every winter fragrance oil I’ve tried from Black Tie Barn is like a snowy evening in a log cabin ski resort clubroom with leather armchairs and a twenty point buck rack mounted over the mantle. This isn’t a “let’s visit Santa at the mall” Hallmark Christmas movie fragrance. This is a $200 high end department store votive with a French label.
The test candle for this one was 9% fragrance load in a soy coco blend. The cold throw is enough to fill a bathroom without lighting the candle and hot throw is INTENSE. I’ll never buy another mediocre Christmas candle at TJ Maxx again.
The Lodge is downright sultry. It’s the lobby of a ski resort in Jackson Hole, Wyoming. Wood and smoke and leather sofas and swirling bourbon whiskey in crystal glasses in front of the fireplace. It’s the opposite of every “frosted pine” scent with cool peppermint; this one is warm. No wait, it’s hot. A wealthy ranch owner with silver-streaked stubble lighting a cigar in a club chair under an antler chandelier while snow falls outside tall cabin windows. Have you seen Kevin Costner’s show, Yellowstone? This is how his house would smell if he invited you in for a drink.
I loaded a soy coco blend with about 9% of this liquid gold and my 10oz single wick test candle filled the whole room almost immediately. Now I just need to find a way to slip this into my husband’s shampoo.
I just started testing my candles and I love Spring cleaning FO. It has an amazing scent - linen combined with citrus and berries and truly is like what I hope my house smells like after a good cleaning. My testers have great hot throw. For sure I will be buying more of this one!
I waited in eager expectation for the arrival of this fragrance. I make not only candles but soaps as well. This scent is perfect for both, but especially for the soap.
The Tabacco FO is far away from Tabacco. It looks like somebody put the wrong label on a different bottle. I was disappointed. I’m looking for a real tobacco smell. Thank you!
I didn’t have high expectations for this scent but it smells like a luxurious coffee house that has specialty pastries and everything cost $30 or more. lol!! I wil be using this in my upcoming collection!!
